The Chinese handset maker OnePlus is expected to launch another premium smartphone in the coming months. In spite of being a no-show at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona last week, the rumors are rife that the OnePlus 6 will arrive very soon, and it is going to sport an all-new design that is different from its predecessors. Based on the latest leaks, the OnePlus 6 will follow the lead of Apple's iPhone X by featuring a familiar notch area on the top display.

The latest information regarding the OnePlus 6 came from the Chinese website IT Home.  Two leaked photos of the alleged 2018 OnePlus flagship were spotted, although the site claims that the smartphone in question is the OnePlus 7. For now, it is believed that the successor of OnePlus 5T will be called the OnePlus 6. In spite of the discrepancy, the leaks provide interesting insight on the upcoming OnePlus device.

One of the obvious takeaways from the OnePlus 6 leaks is the striking resemblance of the smartphone with the iPhone X. It is already expected that the next OnePlus flagship will feature much slimmer bezels, given that the OnePlus 5T has gone closer to an all-display look. However, it is interesting to note that the OnePlus 6 could have the iPhone X-like notch feature as well. Apple's current flagship handset has the notch to contain all the necessary facial recognition sensors for the Face ID. As for the OnePlus 6, the leak shows that its notch only houses a phone call speaker and a single-lens front camera.

The OnePlus 6 leaks also suggest that the phone will sport an all-glass back, thus making it another likely candidate for wireless charging. This is also a big change from the design of previous OnePlus handsets, particularly the Sandstone White and Lava Red designs for the OnePlus 5T.

The rear photos of the OnePlus 6 smartphone reveal that the handset will include a dual-lens camera setup and a fingerprint sensor. Aside from the refreshed design, the positioning of the rear camera and fingerprint reader are also changed, with the camera sensor moving from the upper corner to the center, or just above the biometric scanner.
