It seems like OnePlus Mini is being kept a secret, with the China-based company mum about it. But thanks to the rumor mill, precious details about the release date and the specs sheet of the long-rumored smartphone come into view.

Leaked press renders show that the device will share the same design as the tech firm's flagship, the OnePlus 2. The sheath will be made of plastic and will don a 1.2W speaker on its front. An IP67 rating should make the device durable enough to resist water and dust.

In a nutshell, OnePlus Mini will apparently be a smaller version of the flagship but the specs in it will reportedly receive some relative downsizing to match its size.

But just like the OnePlus 2, it will also sport a fingerprint scanner on its rear. It is also being said that the device will come in a 5-inch 1080p display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass coating. The handset will apparently be outfitted with a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, which should make it powerful.

An interesting feature of the OnePlus Mini hinted by rumors is a dual-lens camera setup with dual-LED flash. On its front will reportedly be a 5-MP selfie shooter. All this will be backed by 3 GB of RAM, which should nicely work with a 32-GB storage space that is expandable.

The battery on its back will allegedly either be at 3000-mAh or 3100mAh. Whichever will be utilized, it should be able to be charged in a snap (100 percent in less than an hour), thanks to its Quick Charging support and the USB Type-C port that will be used.

According to GSM Arena, OnePlus Mini will carry a price tag of $250 and will apparently be released around next month or December. OnePlus CEO Carl Pei has hinted in the past that his team will release a handset for the holidays and OnePlus Mini may just be it.
