Chinese phone maker Lenovo introduced K3 Note in order to challenge Meizu's M1 Note for a base price of $145. However, the latest benchmarking report leaked through AnTuTu suggests that the smartphone is far more capable than previous generation flagship handsets. According to Android Headlines, Lenovo K3 Note was able to score 46,081 points in the benchmarking application. On AnTuTu's website, it clearly states that the OnePlus One was able to score a little less than Lenovo's affordable smartphone and side by side, results of Samsung's Galaxy S5 and HTC's One M8 have also been listed below:

  • Lenovo K3 Note: 46,081
  • Samsung Galaxy S5: 44,107
  • HTC One M8: 45,138
  • OnePlus One: 44,039

Lenovo has incorporated MediaTek's MT6752 chipset, which provides an octa-core processor named ARM Cortex-A53 that runs at a base clock frequency of 1.7 GHz. Even though OnePlus One possesses 3 GB of RAM compared to 2 GB present on Lenovo K3 Note, the Chinese startup's first smartphone is still unable to score more than the $145 priced gadget.

For wireless connectivity, Lenovo K3 Note has been fitted with Category 4 LTE modem along with an 802.11 n wireless adapter that will allow users to browse the internet and stream comfortably. Unlike OnePlus One, Lenovo K3 Note also features an expandable memory slot, where owners can add an additional 32 GB in it. OnePlus One does not feature a microSD slot, but is currently available in the 16 and 64 GB variants, with the pricing details listed below:

  • 16 GB: $299
  • 64 GB: $349

It has been a while since OnePlus had launched its 'Nexus Killer' and will be looking to dominate the market once more with its OnePlus Two, which is expected to be released in Q3, 2015. If OnePlus is able to price the upcoming smartphone as aggressively as it did with OnePlus One, then the company will be able to gain a sizable advantage in the market once more.
