OnePlus X should be unveiled in a couple of days but rumor mills have chomped so much about the device that even its price is apparently no longer a secret. A promotional banner bearing the price of the upcoming device was leaked, hinting that it will be relatively pricier than expected.

It was revealed that the device will be priced CNY 1699 ($267), which is comparatively higher compared to what the earlier reports have been claiming. Before, it was rumored that the mini version of the OnePlus 2 will only cost CNY 1399 ($220). Oppomart's listing of the company's latest smartphone had a closer pricing, $249.

But according to GSM Arena, the price on the banner (or at least its equivalent in different currencies) may not necessarily end up as its official price tag when it lands at different territories. The tech portal believes that the OnePlus X will likely take on a price tag ranging from $249 to $299.

It remains to be seen how much the OnePlus X will really be worth but the good thing is that users will not have to wait that long to get an answer. OnePlus will officially lift the veil off the handset on Oct. 29 in a simultaneous launch in London, India, Beijing, Jakarta and a whole host of other locations.

Plenty of rumors about what the OnePlus X will offer have been bouncing around the web for quite a while now. It is being said it will come in a 5-inch full HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor to do the driving and a hefty 3-GB RAM to assist.

It will purportedly give users 16 GB and 32 GB of space to store files, apps, music, photos and games to. In the imaging department, fans of the China-based tech firm can look forward to a 13-MP rear-facing snapper and a 5-MP front-facing camera. Other reports say the selfie shooter will be at 8 megapixels.

Design wise, leaked images show it will look much simpler than the OnePlus 2 with a smooth, matte back and a metal frame. All this media outlets expect to see in action on Oct. 29.
