OnePlus is reportedly working on a new handset whose majority of details remain unidentified. The mystery device, however, passed by the Federal Communications Commission or FCC, showing itself and a few important info in the process.

The certification agency referred to the unheard of OnePlus device as the One E1005. Media outlets believe that this smartphone is actually the rumored OnePlus X, which was hinted at by the Chinese company's CEO Pete Lau in Weibo just recently.

Not much about the specs was exposed in the handset's FCC visit. But the device was shown to be 139-mm tall, which translates to a nice 5-inch display, as Phone Arena pointed out. The processor type wasn't mentioned but it was revealed that it is clocked at 1.9 GHz.

The OnePlus device also has LTE connectivity and is powered by a 2450-mAh battery unit. According to media outlets, these specs could very well belong to OnePlus X, which is also being called OnePlus Mini.

The device is being touted as a mini variant. It was previously rumored to boast a 5-inch full HD display. Reports are at odds about its processor, with some claiming it will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor while others suggesting it will be a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset.

OnePlus X is said to offer 2 GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage space to boot. The camera department will allegedly be made of a 13-MP Sony IMX258 rear-facing camera and a 5-MP front-facing snapper. NFC technology is said to be integrated on the device too.

As for the release date, media outlets claim that the device won't be out and about until November or December. But as far as teasing the tech world about its coming, OnePlus could be dropping hints about the handset this month.

In fact, it has an event scheduled for Oct. 12 in India but the affair is said to focus on building collaborations than launching new products.
