Open Air Campaigners conference to support evangelists in outreach

OAC Ministries (Open Air Campaigners) will host a conference later this year helping Christians involved with evangelism meet some of the challenges associated with outreach.

The Evangelists' Conference will take place from 3 to 7 of November in Dinas Powys, near Cardiff. It is geared to support those who are active in outreach at any level, from church team members to professional evangelists.

"If you are involved in an evangelistic preaching ministry then this is the conference for you," explains OAC Director Dave Glover. "It will be a unique week of learning and sharing together combined with times of fellowship and worship to keep us focused on the God we proclaim."

Speakers include Dai Hankey, a 32-year-old church planting pastor in the South Wales valleys. He also works for Ignite among young people and with an urban outreach project which he pioneered in 2001.

Another featured speaker Julian Richards is the senior leader of Cornerstone Church Swansea. His numerous leadership roles include serving as President of Gweini, an organisation representing churches to the Welsh Government, and on the board of the Evangelical Alliance UK.

Workshops will offer hands-on experience of creative outreach. Practical sessions led by OAC evangelists will help develop communications skills. IT experts will also provide stimulating input with digital Gospel presentations.
