OPPO takes the number one spot for overall customer satisfaction, as the Chinese smartphone maker has been awarded this year's prestigious Canstar Blue award for "Most Satisfied Customers – Smartphones" in Australia. In the past year, OPPO has seen massive growth in Australia and many other countries.

The award OPPO received includes a number of categories, including user-friendliness, camera quality, battery life, central processing unit (CPU) speed, as well as appearance.

"As a business, OPPO is all about delivering the best quality smartphones at a price Aussies can afford," said OPPO Executive Director Michael Tran to PC World. "That philosophy has clearly resonated well with Australian consumers, as we have quickly grown to establish a robust retail and carrier partner network and an incredibly loyal and passionate fan base."

Also according to Tran himself, the company has heavily invested in research and development to give consumers the best camera technology, as well as device features as they can. Tran added, "To be recognized by our customers for those efforts is extremely rewarding and we look forward to building on that success further in 2018."

Canstar Blue editor Simon Downes also claimed that more Australians are getting into cheaper, but also equivalently capable smartphones. More Australians apparently have been spending less money on major smartphone brands like Apple and Samsung.

"OPPO has performed extremely well in our review, up against stiff competition. Given the significant cost of new smartphones, to achieve five stars on value for money is an excellent achievement," said Downes to Voxy. "OPPO users clearly think they're onto a winner."

In other news, OPPO, together with sister company, Vivo, have cut their smartphone orders by 10 percent. DigiTimes reports that Huawei is also doing the same. Apparently, worldwide smartphone demands have become weaker. This means that supplies for OPPO, Vivo, and Huawei smartphone for 2018 might be lower than expected.
