Popular mobile brands Samsung and Apple have recently released their flagship phones. Now, Chinese company Oppo will be unveiling a model that would compete in terms of its design and specification.

Oppo F5, the newest unit to join the "selfie expert" series, is going to be launched on Oct. 26, Thursday, and is going to be available in Myanmar, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. It is not clear whether the phone will be made available elsewhere. According to Android Authority, not much has been said about the phone, except that the handset will make use of "AI beauty recognition technology," the component that will help everyone take a good selfie.

This technology will improve selfies by recognizing facial features and enhancing these. This will be possible despite bad angles or wacky poses. Aside from the mentioned factors, the AI will help in determining age and gender to further improve features. Furthermore, these scans of the nose, lower jaws, and cheeks will be saved for future use.

The Oppo F5, which measures 6 inches, will also come with a full high definition display with 2160 x 1080 (1080p) resolution, arguably level with other phones available in the market. The device will also reportedly have no keys on its side. Aside from this, the mobile is rumored to be powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 or 630. It will have two options, 4-gigabyte (GB) and 6 GB, for random-access memory (RAM), and it will come in 64 GB and 128 GB variants. Oppo F5 will also have a 4,000 mAh battery.

Another unit by Oppo had been making a buzz. OnePlus 5T was rumored to have taken its design after Oppo F5, but no statement from the Chinese company confirmed if the unit will materialize or not.

Consumers can expect the price and other details about the newest model, Oppo F5, to be announced in the coming weeks.
