Fans of "Orange Is The New Black" will miss Larry Bloom during the entire duration of the show's third season, as actor Jason Biggs confirmed that he will not be around to portray that role in the next run of the American crime-comedy series from Netflix. Biggs talked about his absence from the critically acclaimed series during an interview posted by the New York Daily News.

He said, "They're not focusing on Larry at the moment."

Larry is known in the show as Piper Chapman's (Taylor Schilling) former fiancé during the first season of the show. His and Piper's relationship was heartwarming in the beginning as Larry continuously showed his support for Piper when she was detained in prison. He eventually became her new best friend after their relationship failed.

When season 2 began, Larry decided to begin a new relationship with Piper's best gal pal Polly (Maria Dizzia) who just gave birth to a baby with another guy. Their complicated relationship, topped with baby issues, somewhat veered away from the central storyline that normally happens inside the Litchfield Federal Penitentiary. That is probably why the writers decided not to write in his character in the upcoming season.

However, those who want to see Biggs again in the future installments of "OITNB" should not lose hope since Larry can still return to the show anytime soon.

"Larry will not be in season 3. But there's always a possibility he can come back," the actor said.

Although he will not be in the Netflix show this season, the "American Pie" star will have his hands tied as he prepares to co-star with "Mad Men's" Elizabeth Moss in the Broadway show titled "The Heidi Chronicles."

Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black" season 3 still has no official release date as of the moment, but it is expected to return by the second half of the year.
