It looks like "Orange is the New Black" actress Laura Prepon won't just be returning to play the part of inmate Alex Vause in season 5 of the critically acclaimed Netflix crime drama series. Aside from acting, new reports confirm that Prepon is also making her way back to "Orange is the New Black" to direct one of its episodes as well.

According to a report by University Herald, Prepon has been confirmed as one of the episode directors of the next season of "Orange is the New Black." Though there still isn't any official word as to which episode Prepon would direct for the new season of the series, it looks like fans are excited to see how the actress works behind the camera.

New reports say that the actress is both nervous and excited about her new role as episode director on "Orange is the New Black."  

In other "Orange is the New Black" season 5 news, iTech Post reports that rumors have been spreading around that series protagonist, Piper Elizabeth Chapman (Taylor Schilling), will be meeting her maker as soon as the new season of Netflix's popular crime drama series makes its way to the network. Some allegedly believe that Piper may see the end at the hands of her former lover, Alex. Others, on the other hand, believe that the progatonist may just be one of the many that will get killed in the upcoming season.

"We've seen Alex and Piper go through so many things, but it's always grounded in the fact that they do really love each other," Prepon has said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter earlier this year.

"It's this whole push-pull thing and that's not going to change anytime soon. I don't know if people like that can stay together for too long. But whatever comes in season 5 will be great," the actress tried to reassure fans.

"Orange is the New Black" will return with its fifth season sometime in 2017.
