'Orange Is the New Black' season 4' spoilers: 'Epic' season to 'tear fans in half'

Netflix

"Orange Is the New Black" season 4 is currently in the middle of production and one of its stars, Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee Jefferson, was interviewed by Vogue, during which the actress was able to share a few details regarding the job and what fans can expect in the upcoming fourth season.

One of the important details Brooks shared is that there will be a lot of tension growing in the prison due to the sudden increase in inmates. She adds that the prison is being overpopulated and that season 4 in general will begin in a very different manner compared to seasons past.

"This season is going to be epic," the actress explains. "It's one of the best that they have written so far. There are some surprises that are going to tear you in half."

It is important to note that during the finale for season 3, the prison facility began installing bunk beds into the cells, indicating that some of the established characters will be paired with a new inmate and this might cause trouble to brew as the old and new begin fighting for superiority within the prison.

During the end of season 3, Taystee took over the role of being a mom from Vee (Lorraine Toussaint) and right during the finale she was last seen swimming in the lake following their jailbreak. Brooke stated that in season 4, the show will reveal how Taystee deals with her new role and new life.

According to a report from Enstarz, there is the possibility of the series losing its control and focus as it tries to manage an ever-growing cast of characters. However, this may be avoided if the series continues to focus on the established favorites.

No official release date for "Orange Is the New Black" season 4 has been announced but it is expected to launch on Netflix by summer 2016. All previous three seasons are already available for streaming.
