"Orange Is the New Black" has become one of the most anticipated shows on Netflix, and soon after the season 3 finale aired, fans began wondering when season 4 will start airing on the streaming service. While an official release date has yet to be announced for the 4th season, loyal viewers are looking at the show's previous premier dates to make an estimate.

According to Fansided, seasons 2 and 3 of the hit series were launched around the month of June—the second season premiered on June 6, 2014, while the third season started airing on June 11, 2015. Based on these air dates, the website speculates that fans may be able to watch new episodes of "OINTB" in June 2016.

When the show returns to Netflix, "OINTB" will be getting some new cast members as Deadline has reported that "Under the Dome" alum Jolene Purdy has booked a recurring role on the show. It hasn't been revealed whether she will be playing a new inmate or another character. It is, however, likely that Purdy will be playing an inmate as TVGuide previously reported that season 4 will see an overcrowding in Litchfield prison, which will cause problems when it comes to living quarters and common areas, such as the prison kitchen.

Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) may also get a love story this coming season as season 3 saw her getting closer to Maureen (Emily Althaus). But while two inmates might be finding love when the show returns, fans should expect that the feud between Sofia (Laverne Cox) and Gloria (Selenis Leyva) will continue. Leyva spoke to TVGuide about the feud, saying that it's not about Sofia and Gloria at all.

"It's more about their children, and how they're desperately trying to hold onto some kind of control," said Leyva.

As for Alex (Laura Prepon), viewers will see that she survived the attack in the season 3 finale and she's going to be very angry about it.

"I don't think you're going to see a more timid side of Alex," Prepon told TVGuide.

"Orange Is the New Black" is slated to return in summer 2016.
