Taylor Schilling, Selena Leyva, Danielle Brooks reveal depth of Orange is the New Black season 2

Taylor Schilling, the actress who plays Piper Chapman in the wildly popular Netflix original series, "Orange is the New Black," said season 2 will "deliver."

Speaking to HuffPost Live, Schilling said everything will be explored deeper in the second series. "All of the characters and all of the dynamics are just going deeper. It's just getting fuller and richer and to me, more compelling."

Another actress, Selena Leyva, who plays Gloria Mendoza, told Enstars to "expect the unexpected" in the upcoming new season. "If you thought the first season was amazing, you're in for a big treat for the second season." She continued, "There's a lot of great stuff coming up. It's really early on in the season so we're getting the scripts as we speak. It feels like Christmas, cuz it's great stuff coming."

Leyva also said her co-stars regularly go on field trips around New York. "We do field trips, you know, we go walk the Brooklyn bridge and we're planning a haunted house trip for Halloween. We really are like a family and I hope it stays that way."

Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee, told E!Online that the cast are having a blast filming the new season. "We're having a blast! I mean, the writing was amazing before and it has gotten even better, I don't know how they made it happen but it's really good. I think that people are going to be so excited about season two."

Brooks continued, "I think it is challenging though when you're on a great show because there's so much expectation that comes along with that but I think we all are making a big effort to make it about the work, I think that's what made season one so great is that we're focused on telling truthful honest stories as well as we can."

Rumors have been rife that Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, will be departing in season 2.

An article on Buzzfeed said Prepon would be featuring in a "limited number of episodes" early on in Season 2 before exiting, although it will be left open whether she returns later in the season or later seasons.

Schilling spoke to E!Online in an interview regarding her co-star Prepon's rumored departure. "Well, you know, I don't really know anything about that, I just know that she's an amazing actress and I've really had an incredible time working with her and I know that there's no end to that relationship."

Last week ,TV Guide suggested that Prepon would be dispatched off immediately in the Season 2 premiere. A source reportedly told the publication that Prepon was only on set for filming season 2 early on and had not been seen since.

Prepon herself said she would be returning to the show, telling Vulture, "Yeah, of course (I'll be returning). It's just scheduling. It's all scheduling, girl."

Netflix themselves have been unclear about the situation, simply stating that their plans are still developing and nothing is confirmed yet. "Our season is still developing and nothing is confirmed," the Netflix representative said.

Orange is the New Black Season 2 will be one of the most highly anticipated TV shows in the coming months with fans desperate to find out what happens to Piper Chapman following the dramatic ending to Season 1.

Orange is the New Black Series 2 is expected to be released sometime in 2014.
