A new trailer for the highly anticipated season 5 of "Orange Is the New Black" has been released recently, and it has bolstered the belief of the many that Daya (Dascha Polanco) will, indeed, pull the trigger of the gun she sequestered in the season 4 finale of the Netflix series.

"Orange Is the New Black" season 4 ended with Daya aiming a gun at corrections officer Thomas Humphrey (Michael Torpey). Since the original Netflix series aired its previous season 4 finale episode, many fans have found themselves in a guessing game whether Daya will pull the trigger or not.

Recently, "Orange Is the New Black" released its latest teaser for its highly anticipated season 5. In the said teaser, the prisoners in Litchfield are seen yelling and telling Daya to pull the trigger. While Daya appears still hesitant to pull the trigger, the scene shifts to Alex (Laura Prepon) and Piper (Taylor Schilling).

"We're laying low, and we're staying out of trouble," Piper says as they see the commotion a few meters away.

"That's right. If this is trouble, we turn around and we walk the other way. We are out of the business," Alex says as she agrees with Piper.

The teaser then shifts back to where Daya is, who still has not pulled the trigger. As she yells at her fellow inmates to keep quiet, the screen turns black and a gunshot is heard.

While the gunshot heard on the teaser hints that a trigger has been pulled, fans can only speculate for now whether it is really Daya's gun that fires. In the event that it is, indeed, Daya who pulls the trigger, it is suspected that she may aim it a different direction and spare Humphrey after all.

"Orange Is the New Black" season 5 picks up from the events of its season 4 finale, which featured the untimely death of Poussey (Samira Wiley), which resulted in the riot inside Litchfield prison.

"Orange Is the New Black" returns to Netflix for its fifth season beginning June 9.
