Joseph Morgan seemed to have triggered the fans' excitement for the third season of "The Originals" because of his latest post on Twitter.

The actor who portrays the role of Klaus on the hit supernatural drama spin-off told his social media followers that the upcoming season is something to look forward to. He said that "The Originals" season 3 is possibly the best season of the series so far.

Based on the intense hashtags on his Twitter post, which gives emphasis on the words "Blood," "Tears" and "Betrayal," the events in the upcoming season will be more ruthless and terrifying. It means that viewers will be kept at the edge of their seats as they watch the upcoming events unfold on screen.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview posted in The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Julie Plec talked about the role of "Veronica Mars" alum Jason Dohring in the upcoming season of "The Originals."

According to the series creator, "Jason's character is decidedly human. It's a nice breath of fresh air. He plays a detective. There is a crime that happens in the first episode, and he comes in to investigate it. He's working closely with some of our characters."

Dohring's character Detective Kinney will be working mostly with Cami (Leah Pipes) and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) who will help him solve the case. But does he have any idea about the presence of vampires, werewolves, and witches in New Orleans?

Before casting Dohring into the role, Plec had no idea that he is one of the most loved characters in the popular "Veronica Mars" series since she never watched the show.

"And then I realized, he's Logan that everyone talks about from 'Veronica Mars.' I feel like I'm very lucky to have the person that so many people fell in love with in the past decade," Plec shared.

When asked if Detective Kinney will find romance in New Orleans, the series creator said the character will be very much devoted to the case and he will have no time to look for love. However, she mentioned that something might happen in a future episode.

"As of right now, he's very firmly focused on getting the job done. But of course [that's as of] episode four; you just never know," Plec said.

"The Originals" season 3 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 3, on The CW.
