Filming for season 2 of "Outlander" is underway, and while fans wait for the new season to premiere, the show's social media accounts, as well as stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, have been very helpful in easing what fans have dubbed as "droughtlander."

On Oct. 21, the show's Twitter account shared a glimpse of the show's new setting for season 2, which is in Paris. The tweet shows a photo of an old bridge set over the water, and it was captioned, "Here's your first #PeekAtParis, and there's more where that came from. Look out for more shots each week #Outlander."

Season 2 is based on Diana Gabaldon's second "Outlander" novel called "Dragonfly in Amber" and will see Jamie and Claire in France. In the novel, Jamie's cousin helps them and the pair will live as aristocrats as they try to find Bonnie Prince Charles in hopes of stopping the Jacobite rebellion and preventing the slaughter at Culloden Moor. The new season will also introduce new characters, including the couple's daughter, Brianna.

The actors also took to their Twitter accounts to share some updates about filming. On Oct. 20, In honor of Claire's birthday, Balfe took to the micro blogging site for a Q&A with fans. When asked by a fan what was the most difficult scene to film, the actress replied, "Scenes from Ep 7 in this season."

Balfe also revealed that sometimes, a few scenes can get very intense on the set. When asked how many times Heughan has injured her while filming season 2, Balfe wrote, "@SamHeughan got a nice punch in the cheekbone on Friday. He usually feels sorry afterwards..usually."

Meanwhile, Heughan tweeted fans on Nov. 6  and said that it was a productive day on set.

"Been a great week on set, some tough scenes and challenging conditions, dramatic stuff!" he wrote.

"Outlander" season 2 returns to Starz in 2016.
