There is a passionate print shop reunion scene coming in "Outlander" season 3 episode 6, as last week's installment ended with Claire (Caitriona Balfe) finally making it back to her husband after discovering that he had survived the Battle of Culloden and was working as a printer in Edinburg. Discussing the scene, Sam Heughan revealed why his character Jamie passed out cold during the reunion.

Fans saw Claire in episode 5 arriving at the shop, leaving everyone thrilled for the highly-anticipated scene in the entire series. After a couple of runs without seeing Jamie and Claire together — they were separated for two decades — the show is about to bring the couple back in each other's arms in the upcoming episode.

Giving more insight of what is to come, Heughan revealed to E! News the aftermath of Jamie's fainting upon seeing his lost love, Claire. He said, "There's a pint pot somewhere that goes awry. It's gonna be everything...you know, these two people haven't seen each other, and they're going to rediscover that bond, that attraction, that love for each other."

The Scottish star went on to add, "But also it's kind of awkward because they haven't seen each other for so long and there's so much riding on it. It's almost like they're teenagers again." Meanwhile, executive producer Matthew B. Roberts teased how Heughan and Balfe did a special print shop reunion scene.

He quipped, "I think they definitely found the small moments in the reality of being apart for 20 years. That's what made it so special; no matter how many different takes we did, each take was pretty special." Roberts admitted that they had a difficult time during the editing as they had to choose what take to use out of the few choices.

When asked why they decided to make "Outlander" season 3 episode 6 longer than usual, the producer revealed to Entertainment Weekly, "We wanted to let this episode breathe, to be special. And we also felt it was important they reconnect." He further explained that there was an emotional battle for the couple in the first five episodes, so it just right to give them a deep breath and break before rushing them back in the second half of the series.

"Outlander" season 3 episode 6 will not air until Sunday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. EDT on Starz. Despite the delay, fans will get to watch a longer episode than the standard airtime when the series returns.
