Casting is currently underway for the new characters of "Outlander" season 3.

Reports claim that the people behind the show are currently looking for actors who will portray the roles of new characters that will be introduced next season, but their top priority remains to be the one who will play the adult version of Lord John Grey

According to FX News Call, the production staff of "Outlander" is looking for the right person for the role that was first introduced as a teenage British soldier in season 2. The young John Grey was originally portrayed by Oscar Kennedy, but an older version is expected to be seen when the character will be reintroduced 20 years after the events that took place in the episode titled "Je Suis Prest" in the previous season.

Also, fans of the historical time travel fantasy drama are also looking forward to the reunion of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) after being forced to be apart in season 2.

At the end of the previous season, Jamie had to allow Claire to return to her original time era in the 1940s to save her and their unborn child from the dangers brought by the Battle of Culloden. Claire initially disagreed, but she reluctantly agreed to raise their child away from the battle between the Scots and the Red Coats in the 1740s. But when Claire learned that Jamie survived the deadly battle with the help of Roger (Richard Rankin), she told her daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) that she needed to travel back in time to be reunited with the love of her life.

But fans should expect to see a shift in Jamie's character in the upcoming season since the character experienced a lot of hardships while the two were away from each other. Will this bring them further apart?

Starz has yet to announce the premiere date of "Outlander" season 3.
