Although a grown-up version of Fergus will make his entrance in "Outlander" season 3 in the person of Cesar Domboy, his younger counterpart is not going anywhere.

Romann Berrux, who first played the role of the pickpocket that Jamie (Sam Heughan) eventually took under his wing in the previous season, took to Twitter to reveal that he will be filming scenes in the new season.

"It's great to be back for a while for Outlander Season 3," the young actor captioned a photo of himself, teasing that he is back in Scotland.

It is no surprise that Berrux will reprise his role in the new season seeing that the show's return will begin with the Battle of Culloden. During that time, Fergus was still a young boy.

As "Outlander" season 3 unfolds, Fergus will grow into a fine young man and a "charming, devilishly handsome" one at that. Domboy's version will be two decades older than Berrux's Fergus.

As an adult, Fergus is the "ultimate romantic" who falls in love and falls out of love too quickly and easily. His unconventional rearing did not prevent him from feeling strongly for loyalty and decorum.

In "Outlander" season 3, Fergus will be all the more taken on board the Fraser clan, thanks to his loyalty and devotion to Jamie that never waned through the years.

"Still, his debonair demeanor masks a longing for a lasting love and a permanent sense of belonging," the description of the character warned.

Filming for "Outlander" season 3 is well underway. There will be plenty of scenes which will take place in the Caribbean since this run is based on "Voyager," the third book in Diana Gabaldon's series where the show was based on.

"Outlander" season 3 is expected to premiere sometime next year on Starz.
