Droughtlander will not be over for a couple of months. To relieve fans from the agonizing wait, "Outlander" has released a new photo of an adorable cast member that will be a faithful companion of the Fraser family this season 4: Rollo the dog.

The official Twitter page of the Starz series shared a photo of Rollo sitting on a wagon filled with hay, just in time for the celebration of the Year of the Dog. The canine character, for those who have not read the books, is young Ian's trusted wolf-hybrid sidekick who he won in a game of dice in Charleston. While the Frasers, especially Claire, are hesitant about taking in Rollo at first due to her bad history with wolves, they ultimately accept him as a member of their ever-growing family.

Rollo will be played by two Northern Inuit dogs, which were only eight weeks old when they were cast amidst production for season 3 May last year. Though they are not set to appear until the fourth season, producers wanted to train them early for their role in the show.

Now, they are all grown up and ready for action. Check out one of the dogs' photos below:

"Outlander" season 4 is currently filming in East Kilbride's Calderglen country park. A new footage and some photos taken from the set of the show see Catriona Balfe (Claire) in costume heading to film a scene in the west forest. Express presumes the location would serve as Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire's new home, aka Frasers Ridge. She is joined by four other cast members whose roles have yet to be confirmed.

Based on "Drums of Autumn," the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series, season 4's release date has not been announced as well, but it is expected to return on Starz sometime this fall.
