'Outlander' season 4 spoilers: New set photos tease Brianna's time travel, Frasers' reunion

Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in "Outlander" season 3.Starz

Sophie Skelton's Brianna was not seen much in the second half of "Outlander" season 3 as the show shifted back from the 1940s to the 18th century. However, things may finally change come season 4, if the latest set photos are anything to go by.

The actress was recently spotted in "Outlander" season 4's Denure, Scotland set and she was not just in a period outfit, Skelton was also seen filming with Steven Cree, aka the show's Ian Murray. Sporting a faux fur-lined hooded brown coat and a full-length midnight green plaid skirt, Skelton is pictured seemingly holding Murray's hands as he stands with a green sock and wooden stump.

There are no available details at the moment as to which episodes they are filming. However, the photos clearly indicate that Brianna will be traveling through the stones back to the 18th century at some point in "Outlander" season 4. With her parents currently in the Amercian colonies, it is likely she will meet her uncle Ian first.

According to International Business Times, the two look like they are traveling on a ship to reunite with Brianna's parents, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan), as well as Ian's son, Young Ian (John Bell), who was kidnapped by some pirates last season. This would mark the first time Brianna meets her biological father, following her parents' separation prior to her birth.

"Outlander" book series author Diana Gabaldon previously teased the big reunion by sharing an excerpt of the meeting on Twitter. It turns out Brianna is hesitant to call Jamie "Daddy," since that endearment belonged to her late adoptive father, Frank (Tobias Menzies). Thankfully, Jamie suggests she can call him the shorter version "Da" instead."

"Outlander" season 4 is expected to return on Starz later this fall with new characters including Aunt Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy), Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speelers), and the wolf hybrid Rollo. Check out the first teaser below.
