The recent "Overwatch" update revealed that the Halloween Terror will return with new skins and a new special temporary gameplay mode. It will come next week on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and will run through November, bringing exciting treats for dedicated fans to earn.

Halloween is definitely on its way, and even some video games are jumping on board for this seasonal event. The Halloween Terror event of "Overwatch" will make a return this Oct. 10, offering new skins and a possible temporary gameplay mode. Blizzard confirmed the return of the trick-or-treat round in an attempt of replicating the success it received last year.

A teaser for the event was released online, revealing that there will be new costumes for Nosferatu-style vampire Reaper and Van Helsing McCree. However, the logo from Dr. Junkenstein's graphic seemingly indicated that the skins will likely be similar from last year's event. Further details about the gameplay have not yet been announced.

The event may also likely reintroduce the special game mode from 2016, Junkenstein's Revenge, which was last Halloween's wave-based co-op mode. It was the first implemented player-versus-computer (PVC) mode in Blizzard's "Overwatch," which is mainly a player-versus-player (PVP) game.

Meanwhile, "Overwatch" director Jeff Kaplan made a move against the toxicity in online communities, particularly regarding what they have seen in Blizzard. In one instance, a player posted a complaint requesting that all the members of the "Overwatch" balancing team should be replaced.

In response to the comment, the director quipped, "Make a productive post either clearly stating an issue that you're having or make a productive suggestion. We won't tolerate demands of 'people being replaced' on these forums. See you in 30 days."

Hopefully, the upcoming Halloween Terror will uplift the mood in the game and bring more cheer into the "Overwatch" online communities.
