The closed beta test for "Overwatch" is now finally here.

Being a closed beta, only a limited amount of players will be able to play the new game while it is in its testing phase.

According to Gamespot, game developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment is doing something different with regard to how they are bringing in players to try out the "Overwatch" beta. Instead of sending out emails to Battle Net users who have qualified for the beta, Blizzard is now just choosing individual accounts themselves and is providing access that way.

Players also need to have opted in for the "Overwatch" beta in order for them to be put in the potential pool of participants.

Players who are chosen for the "Overwatch" beta via Battle Net will receive a license for the game in their account, and from there, they can proceed to install and subsequently start playing the game.

For those who may fear that they will not be able to participate in the closed beta, Blizzard will still be bringing in more players during its run, so there is a chance for those who may not get in right away.

Blizzard will be looking forward to receiving feedback regarding the game from those who will be participating in the closed beta, according to a post for the game on Battle Net.

Since the game is not yet a finished product, Blizzard will be relying on beta participants to point out bugs and other issues that may emerge during the testing phase. Blizzard is also encouraging players to talk about the overall experience of the "Overwatch" closed beta.

Blizzard will also be holding beta test weekends for "Overwatch," and they are expected to have a larger player pool.

The closed beta test for "Overwatch" currently does not have an announced end date.
