Fans will be able to take part in the closed beta for "Overwatch" when it returns on Feb. 9.

This time around, the returning closed beta for the game will come complete with new features to help potentially deliver an even better experience to players.

According to Battle Net, some of the new closed beta features for the game include a revamped progression system, the introduction of two new maps, and one additional game mode.

On top of that, the closed beta for "Overwatch" will also feature numerous private game updates. The heroes in the game have also been tweaked to promote better gameplay balance.

The Feb. 9 start date for the returning closed beta is applicable only to players situated in the gameplay regions of Europe and the Americas.

The closed beta for "Overwatch" will resume in the Asian gameplay region a week later on Feb. 16.

It's been a while since players were last able to participate in the upcoming game's closed beta testing.

The most recent round of closed beta testing for "Overwatch" ended back on Dec. 10, 2015, although it was expected to resume last month. Plans then fell through for the beta to return in January, thus necessitating the push further back into this month.

In addition, players who were able to join in on the first beta for "Overwatch" will also be eligible to participate in the one set to start next week, GameSpot reported.

The good news for those who were not able to join the first one is that they are still eligible to participate in the upcoming testing for "Overwatch." Interested players can still sign up to join the beta here.

Blizzard has yet to announce exactly how long the next closed beta will run for, though more details could be announced soon.

"Overwatch" is currently scheduled to be launched on June 21.
