It has become an annual tradition for Blizzard Entertainment's online role-playing game (RPG) "Overwatch" to hold the Halloween Terror event. The game studio announced that a Halloween-themed spectacle will go live this October, offering players with new skins and a possible temporary game mode.

As reported by Engadget, the Halloween Terror event for "Overwatch" will start on Oct. 10, which will be accessible for all PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC users. The upcoming Halloween celebration is previewed by a short teaser video released by Blizzard, which contains a chilling poem that reads, "The nights grow cold, and monsters appear. A great evil gathers, and Halloween draws near."

The Halloween Terror event for "Overwatch" will be featuring fresh Halloween-themed skins for characters such as McCree and Reaper. Last year's Halloween event also highlighted a new skin for Reaper, which was well-received by the players.

Aside from the limited-time horror skins, the "Overwatch" Halloween Terror will possibly introduce new stickers, victory poses, and emotes that match the upcoming spooky season. As for the event skins featured in last year's Halloween event, players can still purchase them for a cheaper price, similar to the lower price offers on this year's annual summer season.

Meanwhile, it is speculated that the "Overwatch" Halloween event will highlight a special temporary game mode. Just like last year, the upcoming spookfest is expected to feature Junkenstein's Revenge, a player-versus-computer co-op mode that allows players to make a team of four members and face countless waves of horrific creatures. This game mode is similar to the original "Overwatch" Horde battle.

Still, Blizzard has not yet confirmed other new contents included in the Halloween Terror event this week. As for the return of Junkerstein's Revenge, GameSpot reported that the Junkerstein skin spotted in the latest video teaser could mean that the co-op battle will arrive once again this year. Although, it is possible that the upcoming Halloween event will have a similar game mode instead.
