"Overwatch Uprising" is a limited-time event that runs from April 11 to May 1, 2017. The event will take players back to the history of each of the franchise's much-loved heroes. The "Overwatch Uprising" trailer teases Tracer's first mission, which will be set in a new cooperative brawl. In the game, players may get the chance to unlock more than 100 declassified Loot Box items.

Through a blog post, Blizzard Entertainment revealed the specifics of the event. According to the game developers, Loot Boxes may come with one skin, highlight intro, emote, spray, or player icon, all of which are from the "Overwatch Uprising" collection.

In addition, it could contain special mementos from previous titles. The list of special items includes Tracer's "Cadet Oxton," Mercy's "Combat Medic Ziegler," "Blackwatch McCree," "Talon Widowmaker," "Blackwatch Genji," and more. Once a user unlocks the item, he will be able to use the item endlessly throughout the year.

Other reports indicate that the Insurrection update will provide new impressive skins for heroes like Mercy, Genji, Widowmaker, McCree, Torbjorn, Orisa, and Bastion. It is expected that Blizzard will reveal more items as the game develops.

The ending of the seasonal event is still unclear. However, reports speculate that the game might culminate in a boss battle just like how games typically end. Since the event has just started, the plot of the game might take a few unexpected twists.

The seasonal event is only available for a limited time. "Overwatch Uprising" is currently live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs. The event will only be available until May 1.

More updates should arrive soon.
