Most kids think that their parents have no sense of humor, but a Gladstone teenager cannot say the same thing after her parents spoofed her on Christmas day.

Jorji Kellog desperately wanted to watch "Royals" singer Lorde in concert, so she told her parents about it. When Christmas finally came, Kellog did receive tickets - but not for Lorde. Instead, her parents got her tickets to a Joel Osteen event entitled, "A Night With Our Lord and Savior."

"Dad and I are so proud and happy that you want to grow your faith and spend time with the Lord!" Kellogg's parents wrote. "Enjoy Pastor Joel Osteen at the Sprint Center!"

Osteen is a popular pastor from Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. He is known for his inspirational and uplifting messages, and his events often draw in crowds of thousands, although critics say he preaches prosperity gospel.

Kellog thought this was really cheeky of her parents, so she shared the prank on Twitter (@JorjiIsAwesome). "I asked for Lorde tickets," the teen wrote. "Not The Lord."

People seemed to find her post funny, since it has received over 46,000 retweets and over 170,000 likes. "Your parents are cool! This will be a story you'll tell your kids one day," a netizen commented. "Best prank ever," another wrote.

Kellog's story did not end there as her parents later gave her the highly-coveted concert ticket to watch Lorde perform at the Sprint Center in early March. As for the Osteen ticket, it turned out to be fake.

"They let me really believe it for a while," Kellogg told KMBC 9 News. "Then they gave me Lorde tickets. They made me believe I got Joel Osteen tickets down to giving me fake tickets."

"I was so surprised. I never thought my parents would prank me like this," she added.
