Hotel empire princess Paris Hilton is about to get hitched. As it turns out, the 36-year-old heiress was proposed to by her longtime boyfriend, 32-year-old actor, Chris Zylka while they were skiing last weekend in Aspen, Colorado. Zylka meticulously planned the proposal beforehand, and had even pressured the jewelers to come up with the engagement ring quickly in time for the romantic ski trip. 

As reported by People, Hilton is obviously overjoyed by the engagement, and immediately accepted Zylka's proposal. There are numerous pictures of the two of them during the proposal to commemorate the special moment, which depict the two in winter clothes situated on top of a hill. The view was beautiful, as distant snow covered mountains can be seen from a distance.

However, what is more beautiful is Hilton's US$2 million 20 carat engagement ring, which was shining and glistening in the photos. The shape of the engagement ring is rather unusual compared to most, with it looking like a very small shield due to its pear-shaped size. Hilton was very happy with the engagement ring, and even described it as "gorgeous," and stated that she was shaking as she attempted to put it on her finger. 

Both Zylka and Hilton dated for about two years before the engagement. The two met at a social gathering eight years ago, but did not establish a significant connection until 2015 -- and they both have fallen madly in love since. The two made their relationship publicly official in February of 2017. Hilton was not able to anticipate the proposal, and was taken by complete surprise when Zylka got down on one knee in Aspen. 

Zylka may be a familiar face to some, since he has been around the industry for a very long time. In 2008, he had a guest appearance in "90210," and eventually landed recurring roles in Chris Rock's comedic series "Everybody Hates Chris," as well as "Hannah Montana" and "Cougar Town."
