Paris Hilton visits Mexico to help earthquake victims
American celebrity and socialite, Paris Hilton, paid a visit to the victims of Mexico after they had suffered the wrath of a 7.1 magnitude earthquake back in September. Hilton brought with her as much supplies and aid as she could to the area of San Gregorio, Xochimilco — wherein she personally met with the victims of the tragedy, and even posted pictures on her social media page.
In a report by Entertainment Tonight, Hilton was successful in uplifting the spirits of those who suffered the tragedy by giving them basic necessities such as food, and water. Additionally, she also brought large quantities of blankets, foot wear, and toys for the children. Being the wealthy businesswoman that Hilton is, she also donated money to aid the cause of rebuilding some of the structures that were destroyed by the natural calamity.
The money that Hilton donated was enough to build about seven new homes, as reported by The Daily Mail. The amount was not specified exactly, but it was enough to build many houses in the San Gregorio area. The 36-year-old hotel heiress stated, "I feel that this is my second home, I've been coming to Mexico all my life," which is probably one of her main motivations to help the disaster-struck area.
Hilton even went on to say that the news of the disaster caused her heart to feel heavy, given the difficulty now being experienced by those who suffered the tragedy. In fact, Hilton has also promised that she will be visiting the place more frequently, and that her aid would not stop with her recent donations.
Hilton appears to be busy nowadays, specifically with a second album on the way. It has been more than a decade since she released her first album. According to Cosmopolitan, it is confirmed that she is currently in the middle of working on a second album. The new music project will be featuring "deep house" and "techno-pop" tunes for her fans.
