Xavi and Barcelona will have a chance to repeat a success first achieved in 2009 when they take on Juventus Saturday in the Champions League final for a possible second treble, but the veteran midfielder has been already linked to a one-year loan from a European Club even before the big game.

According to SB Nation, reports from Spain and France said Paris Saint-Germain will go for the veteran midfielder for a one-year loan once he inks with Al Sadd SC which is based in Qatar.

The owners of both clubs are brothers and are hoping to have a deal same with what midfielder Frank Lampard had with Manchester City, SB Nation reported.

Lampard signed with New York City FC and returned to the Premier League club owned by the owner of the MLS club.

But the 35-year-old already said before that he would not be signing with a European club to prevent facing Barcelona which he called family for 17 years.

The focus for Xavi as of the moment is their Champions League final game against Juventus.

"We are in a position where we can start to make comparisons [with 2009]. We want to make history," Xavi said according to BBC Sports.

Barca came closer to a treble after ousting Bilbao 3-1 in the Copa Del Rey final Saturday at Camp Nuo with the victory also giving Xavi his 24th trophy with the club, BBC Sports reported.

Barca's former midfielder and present manager Luis Enrique hopes they can achieve another treble in his first season leading the Blaugrana.

"We are almost there and it would only be the second time that a club like this, with so much history at a high level, has been able to do it," Enrique said according to BBC Sports.

"It will be difficult but that is what we are working for now. It really would be superb if we could do that," he added.
