It has been recently announced that the unorthodox video game from Mexico-based developer Bromio, titled "Pato Box," will be arriving to the Nintendo Switch platform soon, as well as the PC. Given the triple A games that have been making their way to the Nintendo Switch, some video game enthusiasts find the black and white retro-inspired game to be part of the odd category of titles.

The developers of "Pato Box" derived its overall aesthetic and gameplay inspiration from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, which is one of the older predecessors of the Nintendo Switch. The trailer is complete with fowl-related quips, and reveals a bizarre protagonist named Patobox, who has the body of a professional human boxer, but with a duck's head.

Players will be using Patobox to navigate around the black and white comics-inspired world, complete with dialogue boxes, from a third-person perspective, and will have the in-game option of using Patobox's left or right hand to throw a punch -- which is Patobox's way of interacting with the game's world.  

The trailer also gives viewers a glimpse into the main story, which appears to be a revenge-related one, before showing clips of the hit-and-dodge gameplay. The narrative of the story focuses on Patobox, who is a World Champion Boxer and a former contender of the boxing league called Deathflock.

However, Patobox is tragically betrayed by his boxing sponsor, and then seeks to avenge his honor by taking down the corrupt figures of the boxing world. Patobox will then have to defeat opposing fighters that have been brainwashed by the corrupt organization, as well as brave obstacles in order to get to the bottom of the matter. 

As of now, there is no confirmed date of release. However, "Pato Box" is expected to hit the shelves sometime this year.
