Fans who are waiting eagerly for the release of the fifth installment in the "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" series were disappointed to learn that "Persona 5" has been delayed and will not be out this year. In the latest round of teasers for "Persona 5," industry insider Gematsu has reported that the official Japanese website for the upcoming game has been updated with a number of new details about upcoming characters and their respective Personas.

Meanwhile, in addition to the character details published online, some teaser images have also cropped up, courtesy of another industry observer and Japanese magazine Famitsu. As translated, the new images were published together with an interview with game director Katsura Hashino.

Surprisingly, the main protagonist of the upcoming title is still unnamed. Only dubbed as "The Protagonist," he is a high school student. Although still young at 16 years old, he is the leader of the Phantom Thieves in the story. His starting Persona is Arsene, and with the gang being called "Thieves," some fans have speculated that the main character's Persona might be connected to the famous thief Arsene Lupin. The website has also touched on this supposed connection.

In addition, everyone in the Phantom Thieves gang was also listed. Ryuji Sakamoto is a second-year high school student, the same as the leader. His Persona, Captain Kidd, suggests close connections to the pirate, complete to the Persona's getup and Pirate Ship vehicle.
