"Persona 5" launched in Japan last Sept. 15, and the game has been met with massive success, selling well over 550,000 copies in less than a month. As a reward for their supporters, the developers at Atlus have announced several costume DLCs that are going to be offered for free for a limited period of time.

As stated in a report by Gematsu, players will be able to avail of two special costume DLCs for free, but one of them is free only for a few days. The first is the "Swimsuit" DLC which gives each playable character a swimsuit costume that can be worn even in the Palace.

The second costume DLC is the "Catherine Costume and BGM Costume Set." This combines the "Adults Who Lost Their Way" costume set with the "Catherine" costume and a "Lambs' Pillow" accessory item. Just like the previous DLC, this will allow the party members to don these costumes no matter where they go in the game.

Both of these DLCs will be free of charge from Oct. 5 to Oct. 10 in Japan and for both the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. After that period the "Catherine Costume and BGM Costume Set" will cost 800 Yen. It is still uncertain if any of these costume DLCs or other future DLC will be available in the United States when the game launches in the West next year.

While this does not count as a full-on crossover between "Catherine" and "Persona 5," it is a small bonus for fans of both franchises. "Catherine" is known by many fans as a mind-boggling puzzle game with a story that tackles sexuality and infidelity, putting its mature themes right at home with the deep social commentaries and paranormal themes of "Persona 5."

"Persona 5" will launch in the West for both the PS3 and PS4 on Feb. 14, 2017.
