Game companies Atlus and Sony are speculated to finally unveil the official release date of "Persona 5" this Sept. 15, during the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia press conference. However, there is no word if this will be for the game's Japanese release or its worldwide release. 

According to a report from Design and Trend,  the basis of the speculation is that Atlus gave fans the first official trailer of "Persona 5" during the SCEJA conference last year. During the event, the game developer also announced that the release had been pushed to the fourth quarter of 2015 because the game was also going to be released on the PS4 instead of just the PS3. 

Design and Trend also cites that "Persona 5" is one of the biggest Japanese titles that Sony will launch and because of this, the game will be given the spotlight during the press conference. The "Persona" series is the most popular spin-off of the "Megami Tensei" franchise and is reportedly one of Atlus' most profitable series in Japan and overseas. 

A report back in May indicated that while the game will be launched first in Japan, it is very likely that the delay between the Japanese and the North American launches will be very short. 

In a report from God is a Geek, John Hardin, the PR Manager of Atlus USA, confirmed that the game is also scheduled for 2015 in Europe although several listings, including Wikipedia, state the European launch will be in 2016. However, no official date has been specified for that region either. 

"I'm working on getting those incorrect listing removed. We are trying to get publishers locked in for our titles in EU and will announce things when they are locked in," he explained. "We are very aware of what happens when we make premature announcements for Europe. At least I am. The only thing I can confirm for 'Persona 5' is 2015."
