'Persona 5' release date, news: English dub trailer features Ann Takamaki

Western fans were given another treat by developer Atlus for their upcoming game, "Persona 5." The studio released another English-dubbed game trailer that features Ann Takamaki.

The latest trailer introduces Ann, a young high school student in Shujin Academy who is a troubled youth. Typical to any young student, she goes to class, attends school activities, and even takes part-time jobs. However, she transforms into her alter ego, Carmen, at night, and changes her school uniform into a cat burglar outfit. She is one of the members of a masked vigilante group known as Phantom Thieves of Hearts. The group explores a supernatural region called "Palace" where they take out the corrupts hearts of the corrupt adults.

Atlus also released a video where it shows the studio's PR Manager for the United States, John Hardin, and the voice behind Ann, Erika Harlacher. The voice actor talked about her character in the game, as well as the fun experience she had with the "Persona" series.

Previously, the studio also released another trailer that introduced the game's Protagonist, known as The Phantom. Fans will be hearing the voice of Xander Mobus when the game is released in English version next year.

Aside from Mobus and Harlacher, the western release will also include Cassandra Morris as Morgana, Max Mittelman as Ryuji Sakamoto, Matthew Mercer as Yusuke Kitagawa, Cherami Leigh as Makoto Niijima, Erica Lindbeck as Futaba Sakura, Xanthe Huynh as Haru Okumura and Robbie Daymond as Goro Akechi, according to Anime News Network.

The game will be released in the U.S. in a "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition, which will include a 4-inch Morgan plush, a steel book collectible case, the soundtrack CD, a school bag, a 64-page hardcover art book, and a collectible outer box. It is now available for pre-order via Amazon for $89.99.

"Persona 5" will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on February 14, 2017 in North America and Europe. Japanese fans are already enjoying the game since mid-September.
