"Persona 5" will arrive two months later than expected, developer Atlus has announced. Instead of the original Feb. 14, 2017 release date, the game will now come out on Apr. 4.

"I know, I know. It stings," Atlus public relations manager John Hardin wrote on the PlayStation blog, sympathizing with fans who they know will be disappointed to wait another couple of months for the game.

However, Atlus has a good reason for delaying "Persona 5.". As it sets the "gold standard" for the team, Hardin says that Atlus made it a point to "put the utmost care into ensuring it winds up the best when it launches in the west."

In lieu of the postponement, Atlus also had some good news to share. This good news comes in the form of a dual audio for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions of "Persona 5" to be released as free downloadable content (DLC).

This is one of the most demanded features by fans, and Atlus made sure to make it happen, even though it took "herculean effort" from basically every division of the studio.

"This was something we especially wanted to do for the Atlus Faithful, the ones who still appreciate our English dubs and respect all the effort we put into localizing. You all are the reason we get to do the jobs we do, so we've been fighting for this for a long while, and we are glad we can make this happen for all of those who support us and love our games," Hardin added.

Despite the delay, fans will see "Persona 5" in the upcoming PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, California on Dec. 3 and 4. The developer will give away collector's cards from the game there.

Last but not the least, the official artwork for the soundtrack CD included in the "Persona 5: Take Your Heart" premium edition now includes Justine and Caroline from The Velvet Room.

The cover art on the steel book and art book in the said edition has been unveiled as well. Fans can get a look of all that on Atlus' official website.
