While publisher Atlus has yet to announce a specific release date for its upcoming game "Persona 5," it has already been confirmed that the title will have a summer roll-out. Getting closer to its release period, details about the upcoming game are now cropping up online.

According to Gematsu, new details about the upcoming role-playing game have come out, courtesy of game director Katsura Hashino. The new details are included in the March issue of "Persona Magazine."

Reportedly, one of the features of the upcoming "Persona 5" game is an improved "Social Links," which was introduced in "Persona 3" and "Persona 4." It is unclear if the improved feature will still be called "Social Links," as it will have been drastically improved, based on Hashino's description.

Meanwhile, new details have also emerged on the Phantom Thieves themselves, and "Persons 5" seems to have borrowed material from "Persona 4." One instance is the appearance of Morgana. While she takes the form of an ordinary cat in the game's world, her character is similar to Teddie from "Persona 4." She will help players navigate the "Persona" world, with her Persona a complete opposite of her real-world form. She will also act as the trainer to the Phantom Thieves.

Meanwhile, Ann Takamaki is one-fourth American, returning to Japan to study. However, she gets caught up with the events connected with the Phantom Thieves and will develop her own Persona, Carmen.

Other characters that Hashino described as central to the story are Ryuji Sakamoto and Yusuke Kitagawa. The main protagonist, who is the leader of the Phantom Thieves, is yet to be named.

As for its story, "Persona 5" players, by being the Phantom Thieves, will try to fix a corrupt government in Tokyo, which is run by crooked adults.
