Game developer Atlus did not say anything about its highly-anticipated role-playing video game "Persona 5" during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015, but it has revealed via its website that the title will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 later this year.

Months back, Atlus was keener in dropping details about the game's release in Japan, then only confirming a release window for its rollout in its home fort. However, it is already acknowledged that the title, which is deemed as one of the biggest and most eagerly awaited in Japan, is also coming to North America.

Although Atlus wasn't very specific with the 2015 release it listed on its website, Atlus USA stated that "Persona 5" is "coming to the Americas" this year. The game studio is expected to make things clearer and official during the Tokyo Game Show 2015 on Sept. 17 to 20. 

As stated in the website, "Persona 5" boasts a "brand new metropolitan setting, all-new cast and fresh, original story." Gamers will play the role of a "young and roguish" hero who happens to be a Shujin High School student and will eventually be known as the Phantom Thief.

He will, in the long run, be able to summon his persona called Arsene in which he dons a pair of "huge, black wings." Atlus has yet to reveal the powers and abilities enveloped in this persona and simply raised the character's possible association with the "famous gentleman-thief, Arsene Lupin."

Not much is known about the protagonist, who is said to bring a shocking new twist to the game, except that he will be the person to lead the motley crew he meets and grows with in high school as they awaken their personas and go through some "wild adventures" in modern day Tokyo.
