Popular role-playing game "Persona 5" has gotten a wide audience especially since its release back in 2016. While the game series itself is one that many gamers love, "Persona 5" is finally turning into its own animation series. Recent news even notes that the show already has a set air date that fans can definitely look forward to.

The news may not be quite new to those who have been long-time fans of the games. Not only was it already announced prior but previous games, specifically "Persona 3" and "Persona 4," have already gotten their anime adaptations. It won't be long before "Persona 5" gets its own anime adaptation as well.

Atlus has announced that the "Persona 5 The Animation" will air on April 7, 2018. However, this holds true only for Japan. Although it is sure to be released outside Japan, a western release date is yet to be seen especially given the big fan base around the world. The one thing that will inevitably delay it is the localization of the anime.

Fortunately, according to Comicbook.com, the United States at least may get it quite sooner. Distribution enterprise Aniplex of America has recently bought domestic rights to A-1 Pictures and especially Atlus' "Persona 5 The Animation" itself. What is left for fans is, again, just wait for further announcements.

While it is getting an anime series, this is actually not the first time "Persona 5" gets an adaptation. A-1 Pictures also released "Persona 5 the Animation: The Daybreakers" last year. It was more of a prologue animation that led straight to the storyline of the game.

As for now, players can at least refresh their memory of the game before the animation's release. "Persona 5" is available on both PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PS3.
