Developer Atlus will grace the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 where it is expected to finally announce when its highly anticipated game "Persona 5" will be released in the West.

Gamers in Japan will experience the game this fall—Sept. 15 to be exact. Gamers in the United States hope to learn when they get their turn to play "Persona 5."

It is unknown if Atlus will be releasing "Persona 5" in the U.S. months after its Japan launch, as this is sometimes the case with games coming from the country.

However, there are reports that suggest that while Japanese gamers will be ahead of the rest of the "Persona" community, fans in the U.S. will still get it this year.

If "Persona 5" will be released in the region before 2016 ends, U.S.-based gamers are looking at a three-month wait being the longest. Meanwhile, there are also reports that the U.S. launch of "Persona 5" won't happen until next year.

Whenever it will end up being, fans will get official information about it this June. For E3, Atlus will be presenting "Persona 5" at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 14, the first day of the affair.

"Persona 5" is expected to be the best and biggest title in the series yet. Based on what its developer has shown, the installment indeed has a lot of things that gamers will surely be excited to see in the flesh.

Just recently, details about the three new characters and Personas were revealed. The first one is Makoto, the president of the student council in Syujin High School who has a great sense of responsibility. Her Persona is Johanna, believed to be inspired by Pope Joan, the first female pope in the medieval period.

The second new character to be introduced in "Persona 5" is Futaba Sakura, a recluse math and programming expert whose Persona Necronomicon, a grimoire or tome of magic first mentioned in HP Lovecraft's story "The Hound" that contains information about ancient cosmic beings.

The third and final new "Persona 5" character is Haru Okumura, an elegant, well-heeled young lady who isn't a fan of close relationships. Her Persona is Milady, who wears a beautiful dress that doubles as a killer weapon.

PS3 and PS4 players in Japan will see all that in action when "Persona 5" releases Sept. 15.
