"Duck Dynasty" stars Phil and Miss Kay Robertson have written a holiday-themed book called "Exploring The Joy of Christmas," where the couple share precious Christmas memories, traditional recipes, and favourite carols, among many other things.

Given the scrutiny and persecution Christmas are facing nowadays whenever they share their beliefs, some people are concerned that their book might be banned in some areas. Phil cannot help but shake his head whenever people are trying to be politically correct.

During a recent interview published in Townhall.com, he said all their family ever wanted is to glorify God in all that they do.

"Well, we're just trying to infuse a little good into our culture and Christmas is a wonderful time to remember that," he said. "Our culture today, for lack of a better term, they've just become so inward-focused, so selfish. Let's face it, we live in a pretty wicked and adulterous generation. We're just trying to infuse a little good into the culture saying come on, love God and love each other. We're just trying to get people to turn from their sins."

Phil believes that there is hope for everybody, even those who seem farthest away from God. He himself used to be the "dope-smoking worst of them," but once he was delivered from his sins, Phil shook off his "idiot phase."

"So basically, it's called repenting – the scariest word in the English dictionary. You never hear about it anymore, but trust me, everyone needs to repent and turn to God, they really do," he said.

Phil added that promoting a book about Christianity is not the only struggle they face nowadays. Even the simple act of sharing the Gospel is difficult given the hatred some people feel towards Christians.

"When I give a Bible lesson, I have to have armed men to my right and my left and behind me," he explained. "To give a Bible lesson. That's where we are in America. Pretty sad."
