The Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots will clash on Sunday in a massive Week 13 game in the NFL. The Patriots were looking in control of their game against the Broncos last week. They were ahead by 14 points and were cruising to an 11th win of the season so far. However, they let their 14 point lead slip through their fingers and that has given them the chance to take a long hard look at themselves as the postseason gets nearer.

Talking after their 30-24 overtime loss to the Broncos, Brady said, "As soon as that game's over with, we try to turn the page as quickly as possible. We have to move on with different challenges, whether that's personnel-related or scheme-related. Every week you just have to start out with a fresh slate."

They come up today against an Eagles team that has lost three straight games and looks to be ready to collapse and fall into the abyss of irrelevance to the postseason.

Philadelphia have lost badly in their last two and look like a team that has lost their fight. A 45-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a shock not for the result but for the manner of the loss. They followed that up with a 45-14 loss to the Detroit Lions.

They come up against a Patriots team wounded by their first loss last week, and a team that is much more skilled than either the Buccaneers and Lions, and that could mean this may be a very long afternoon for the Eagles today.

Earlier this week, NFL Thursday Night Football saw the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions, and although it looked like the Lions had the game in the bag, a spectacular comeback in the second half by the Packers saw them take the spoils to move to 8-4.

Green Bay went in at the half way point without a point on the board and were behind by 17. But whatever they drank at halftime seemed to do the trick, as they came back out and piled on the points winning the third quarter 14-3 to pull the score back to 14-20. They then completed their comeback in the final quarter, scoring another 13 points with the Lions offense shut down and only able to score another three to leave the final score at 27-23.

The game winning play came in dramatic style, with Aaron Rodgers throwing a 61 yard touchdown to Richard Rodgers with no time left on the clock.

The result will be a relief for the Packers, who had lost four of their last five, and will be setback for the Lions, who had won three straight games coming into the game. They will be hugely disappointed to have missed out on the chance to sweep the series for the first time since 1991.

Anytime a team loses a 20 point lead it is a huge blow, but the nature of the loss and the opposition will make the defeat that much worse for Detroit.

The Packers left it late to make their charge, only scoring their first points with just 5.44 on the clock in the third quarter. But once they got into their rhythm there was no stopping them.

On the final play, the only reason the Packers had their final chance was because Devin Taylor grabbed Aaron Rodgers facemark. If he had not done that then the game would have been over, but because of that foul, Green Bay were given another chance, and Aaron Rodgers didn't need to be told twice. He launched a massive 61 yard Hail Mary pass, which came off to leave the Detroit fans stunned and the Packers fans in ecstasy.

Rodgers admitted after the game: "I've never had a completed Hail Mary before."

Rodgers finished the game with 26 of 36 for 289 yards and two touchdowns, compared to Matthew Stafford's 23 of 35 for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
