The Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks will battle it out in a massive clash on Sunday in the NFL. The game has a scheduled start time of 4.25 p.m. ET and takes place from CenturyLink Field in Seattle. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through live stream via the link below.

The Eagles come into today's game on 5-4, but despite having a winning record they are in the basement of the hugely competitive NFC East.

However, they are only marginally behind the 5-3-1 Washington Redskins, and 6-3 New York Giants, so if they can string a few more wins together moving into December they could easily move up to second in the division.

Things will be tight in the NFC this year for the Wild Card spots, and perhaps that's where the Eagles may have to look to for their postseason berth, as the 8-1 Dallas Cowboys seem like they could run away with the NFC East division title.

That means that a win today is extremely important for Philadelphia. Losing today would drop them back to an even 5-5 record and with time running out in the regular season that could leave them with too much to do as the season moves towards December.

The Seahawks meanwhile are top of the NFC West with a 6-2-1 record. They do have some breathing room over the 4-4-1 Arizona Cardinals, but they will not want to open the door for the Cardinals to pressure them.

Seattle are at home today and will see this as an opportunity to consolidate their lead at the top of the NFC West and get things sown up as soon as possible for the postseason.

Earlier this week on Thursday Night Football the Carolina Panthers claimed a tight 23-20 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

The Panthers looked comfortable as the game wound down towards the end, but the Saints rallied and almost stole the win. However, they came up just short and their late game rally was ultimately in vain.

Carolina really need to sort out how they tackle the final quarter of games, and even though they managed to hang on against the Saints, their fourth quarter performances have undermined their season badly.

They entered the fourth quarter here with a healthy 23-3 lead, but allowed the Saints to pile on 17 unanswered points to move within a score of turning this game on its head. New Orleans even had the ball with an opportunity in the final seconds - that's how close the Panthers came to blowing things again.

However, the Panthers tackled receiver Michael Thomas at their 43 yard line as the clock ran out, and Carolina breathed a huge sigh of relief.
