Fans of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series may expect a comeback from Orlando Bloom as the actor has recently stated that he has been talking with Hollywood producers regarding his possible return to the franchise for the fifth movie. In the first three "Pirates" movies, Bloom played the role of pirate Will Turner but did not reprise the role in the fourth installment, "On Stranger Tides" in 2011.

As he announced at the Oz Comic-Con held in Brisbane, the British actor discussed how he has been thinking of coming back and starring in the fifth movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales", The Guardian has reported.

"There have certainly been some discussions about it and I'm open to it," Bloom said. "That whole experience working with Johnny and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really amazing for me."

Miranda Kerr's ex-husband also mentioned about how costar Johnny Depp had become a significant influence to his film career.

"One of the reasons I jumped at the opportunity was because Johnny was involved," Bloom explained, while adding, "I was such a massive fan of Johnny Depp growing up so to get up close and personal to Johnny and see how he worked as an actor was just a massive gift."

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" has been slotted to begin filming in Queensland as the national Australian government has consented to the hand tax incentives of $20.2 million for Disney Studios. Shooting for the fifth installment has been said to be carried out at the Village Roadshow Studios. Aside from the Gold Coast, Disney has reportedly been looking for northern state locations where rainforests abound and the Great Barrier Reef can be easily visited.

All in all, the "Pirates" franchise has already raked in approximately $3.7 billion at the world box office. While Depp will be reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, Keira Knightley and her character Elizabeth Swann will be absent in the fifth movie, as reported by Daily Mail.

To be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will have an official release date in summer 2017.
