While Universal Pictures remains secretive about the details about "Pitch Perfect 3," speculations claimed that there will be a major revamp for the third installment of the musical comedy movie.

According to reports, lead star Anna Kendrick will be replaced by another actress because the studio is taking a long time before starting the production of the third "Pitch Perfect" movie.

Some of the names mentioned in recent "Pitch Perfect 3" rumors include "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester, "Glee" alum Lea Michele, as well as "The High School Musical" alum Vanessa Hudgens.

All the mentioned actresses are known for their acting chops and amazing singing voice. Meester released her own album titled "Heartstrings" in 2014, while Michele released her "Louder" album in the same year. On the other hand, Hudgens released two albums under her name. The first one, titled "V," came out in 2006, while the other one is called "Identified" which came out in 2008. However, both Michele and Hudgens were featured in the albums of their respective shows.

According to Game N Guide, Kendrick and co-star Rebel Wilson will no longer be included in the cast roster of "Pitch Perfect 3." The report mentioned that both actresses are in a feud with "Pitch Perfect 2" director, film producer, and co-star Elizabeth Banks. However, early reports claimed that Kendrick, Wilson, and Britanny Snow already signed to appear in the third film that will be written by Kay Cannon.

Although, both Kendrick and Wilson has yet to comment on the validity of the rumors.

Meanwhile, Banks revealed that she will no longer direct the upcoming third installment of the musical comedy film franchise. In an interview with Variety, the actress mentioned that she needs to spend more time with her children, that is why she delegated the directing job to Trish Sie.

"Pitch Perfect 3" is slated to be released sometime in 2017.
