While the third film in the musical series "Pitch Perfect" will be released late next year, there are rumors suggesting that the upcoming sequel might not showcase some of its original members. Adding to the woes of fans is the lack of recent news about the film's development.

It was previously speculated that Anna Kendrick would be one of the cast members that might not make it for "Pitch Perfect 3." The reason behind this is the actress' packed lineup of projects this year in which the notable ones include her participation in DreamWorks' "Trolls" as the pink-haired Poppy and the Ben Affleck starrer "The Accountant." In addition, Kendrick will also star in a comedy feature titled "Table 19" that is slated to be released next year.

Aside from Kendrick, the "Super Fun Night" star Rebel Wilson is said to be experiencing the same thing and as such, there have also been rumors of her not appearing. Wilson had a handful this year as she took part in films such as "How to Be Single," "The Brothers Grimsby," and "Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie."

Thankfully, some reports say that Wilson has already committed to the upcoming film as well as co-star Brittany Snow who plays the role of Chloe.

Meanwhile, there are theories saying that Hailee Steinfeld might be taking over as the sequel's main character and it is also rumored that she will be paired with a newcomer. That being said, it is believed that Justin Beiber could be spotted in the inbound sequel as it was noted that the singer was in talks with Wilson about him being in the film.

Universal Pictures has yet to confirm the official release date for "Pitch Perfect 3." For the meantime, fans are advised to keep themselves in the know about the latest news surrounding the film franchise's third installment.
