Another injury seems to be plaguing Pittsburgh Steelers franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, as an injured shoulder makes him uncertain versus the Denver Broncos this Sunday in the Divisional Playoffs.

Roethlisberger injured the shoulder in the third quarter of their Wild Card Playoffs win over the Cincinnati Bengals last Saturday, after getting sacked by linebacker Vontaze Burfict.

The 33-year-old veteran passer left the game after hurting the shoulder, but with less than a minute and a half in the fourth quarter checked back in to help Pittsburgh seal the win.

Following the game, Roethlisberger said the shoulder was "sore" and even identified himself as day-to-day, ESPN reported.

No significant information regarding the injury was released, but ESPN added in the report that the Steelers believe the injury to Roethlisberger's shoulder is an acromioclavicular (AC) joint sprain.

Roethlisberger finished Saturday's Wild Card Playoff game completing 18-of-31 passes for 229 yards and one touchdown, also getting sacked thrice.

However in another report by ESPN, Roethlisberger was mentioned to be likely playing against the Broncos in the Divisional Playoffs.

When that happens, it will be a matchup of two of the greatest quarterbacks in the National Football League (NFL), as Roethlisberger go up against Denver's Peyton Manning.

If there is good news surrounding Roethlisberger, it is likely different for the Steelers' leading receiver Antonio Brown.

Brown suffered a concussion late in the game versus the Bengals following a hit by Burfict and is currently going through the NFL's concussion protocol program.

According to ESPN, things are "not looking good" for Brown who did not miss a game during the 2015 regular season.

The possibility of playing without Brown is tough for the Steelers who already outdid their performance last season, when they reach the postseason but were eliminated in the Wild Card Playoffs by the Baltimore Ravens.
