PS4 players can now register for the closed beta of the upcoming massively multiplayer first-person shooter "PlanetSide 2." The closed beta testing in Europe will start on March 25. 

"If you would like an opportunity to have an exclusive early look and provide feedback to the development team, go to the PlanetSide 2 website and sign up for the beta," Sony invites its PS4-playing patrons.

To secure a spot in the closed beta test for the game, gamers can head over to the "PlanetSide 2" website and register. Selected partakers will receive a beta voucher, which they will use at the PlayStation Store to get into the beta test. There is still no word about the beta test for Xbox One but as for PC, the test is ongoing. 

"PlanetSide 2," as what Sony described, is "a revolutionary, massive scale, first-person shooter" that sends players as soldiers into an interplanetary warfare. With four gigantic continents up for major scouring, and battles of strategy and strength, nothing would come between a player and the game's "intense infantry, air and ground vehicle gameplay." The upcoming shooter is all for the teamwork and skills and for the best gaming experience, thus it will put forward "sophisticated communication tools," which will help players best and master the ins and outs of the title. 

As mentioned earlier, the closed beta in Europe will start on March 25. There is no word about the testing on other territories. As for the game's official release date, it is likely that this bit of detail will be spilled out as the closed beta testing wraps up. 

The game is recommended by IGN as something every gamer should try. Apart from that, players can hold on to the promise that "PlanetSide 2's massive battles will make your adrenaline rush – there is nothing else like it on the console."
