Japanese game studio PlatinumGames, the maker of "Bayonetta" and "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance," is slated to reveal the gameplay of a new game during IGN's live show event at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015.

The video game website revealed the news early this week, saying that there will be an extended gameplay of PlatinumGames' newest project during their June 16 live show at 3 p.m. PDT (6 p.m. EDT, 10 p.m. GMT).

But while it was confirmed that the gameplay for PlatinumGames' unannounced title will be revealed during the IGN live show at the E3 2015, there are reports claiming that the formal announcement about the game will come out during one of the press conferences before that. It could either be during Sony's or Microsoft's press panel for their respective consoles.

PlatinumGames' latest releases are the action hack and slash sequel "Bayonetta 2" for Nintendo Wii U and Activision's "The Legend of Korra" third-person beat'em up game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Both were released last year.

The Japanese private game studio is also working with Microsoft to come up with a new game called "Scalebound" for Xbox One, but its official release date has yet to be announced.

While the game developer is still mum about its new unannounced project, fans have been trying to decipher the recent Twitter posts of PlatinumGames creative director JP Kellams.

When IGN revealed the gameplay release on E3 2015, Kellams tweeted: "So this is happening. It will surprise you. Might even make you cry."

Fans were asking him if he was hinting something with the tweet, but the creative director denied it.

A fan later on asked Kellams if they managed to get the rights to develop "God Hand 2," but he simply refuted, saying: "If we did that, I'd leak it. Even if it got me fired. I wouldn't be able to contain the joy."

But while Kellams claimed that he will not be hinting about what their next game will be all about, the creative director recently stated: "I retweeted Elon Musk once. Our next game is going to be on the Tesla car nav. Quick, tell the bloggers!"
