The creators of the hit multiplayer shooting game "Player Unknown's Battlegrounds" have promised to deal with cheaters, stating that those who were caught cheating would be met with "strong action."

"Player Unknown's Battlegrounds" has gained a lot of attention and popularity in the past few months. Its growing community, while mostly a positive thing for the game, has led to a handful of problems as well. Namely, cheating. Fans of the game have been complaining about the rise in cheaters and hackers and have taken to the internet to discuss the cheating problems they've encountered.

A discussion on Steam has players recounting their own experiences with cheaters, and how these hacks have ruined the playing experience for them. And Steam isn't the only place players have gone to in order to discuss their in-game problems, they've also taken to Reddit. Players complain about cheaters and hackers knocking people out with punches when they're standing nowhere near the players, or instantly killing all the other players in the area. It puts a damper on competitive play and has been going on for some time now.

Players of "Player Unknown's Battlegrounds" can at least take comfort in knowing that the developers have been made aware of this annoying problem. The developers posted a notice regarding the cheating on Steam, stating that they were sorry for the inconvenience and that they are currently "in the process of adopting new tools to detect and verify users with unusual gameplay patterns."

Aside from that, the team mentioned they would permanently ban those who were caught cheating, and that they would suspend all suspicious accounts until they can investigate further. The developers of "Player Unknown's Battlegrounds" want to make their game the best game they can make it, but they also noted that this wouldn't be possible to do overnight. They're trying and they need patience and understanding from their players as well.

The notice received positive ratings from the Steam community.
